چکیده

theoret. zero close to, or temporarily zero Abstract — Controlled induction motor drives without mechanical speed sensors at the motor shaft have the attractions of low cost and high reliability. To replace the sensor, the information on the rotor speed is extracted from measured stator currents and from the voltages at the motor terminals. Vector controlled drives require estimating the magnitude and spatial orientation of the fundamental magnetic flux waves in the stator or in the rotor. Open loop estimators or closed loop observers are used for this purpose. They differ with respect to accuracy, robustness, and sensitivity against model parameter variations. Dynamic performance and steady-state speed accuracy around zero speed range is achieved by signal injection, exploiting the anisotropic properties of the machine. The overview in this paper uses signal flow graphs of complex space vector quantities to provide an insightful description of the systems used in sensorless control of induction motors.

Sensorless Control of AC Machines using HF Excitation

In the present paper a new method for sensorless control is presented, which can handle the presence of multiple non-separatable saliencies. Because of the inimitability of the measured impedance curves, the method is based on the minimum error between the measured curves during operation and precommissioned reference curves. The method can handle alternating and rotating test signals. The capa...

A Current-Based Output Feedback Sliding Mode Control for Speed Sensorless Induction Machine Drive Using Adaptive Sliding Mode Flux Observer

This paper presents a new adaptive Sliding-Mode flux observer for speed sensorless and rotor flux control of three-phase induction motor (IM) drives. The motor drive is supplied by a three-level space vector modulation (SVM) inverter. Considering the three-phase IM Equations in a stator stationary two axis reference frame, using the partial feedback linearization control and Sliding-Mode (SM) c...

Sensorless Vector Control of Induction Motor Drive - A Model Based Approach

Induction machines are more rugged, compact, cheap and reliable in comparison to other machines used in similar applications. Vector controlled induction motor drive outperforms the dc motor drive because of higher transient current capability, increased speed range and lower rotor inertia. Sensors widely used in electric drives degrade the reliability of the system especially in hostile enviro...

Sensorless Indirect Field Oriented Control of Single-sided Linear Induction Motor With a Novel Sliding Mode MRAS Speed Estimator

This paper proposes a new sliding mode control (SMC)  based model reference adaptive system (MRAS) for sensorless indirect field oriented control (IFOC) of a single-sided linear induction motor (SLIM). The operation of MRAS speed estimators dramatically depends on adaptation mechanism. Fixed-gain PI controller is conventionally used for this purpose which may fail to estimate the speed correctl...

Considerations Regarding the Flux Estimation in Induction Generator with Application at the Control of Unconventional Energetic Conversion Systems

The paper presents issues regarding the flux estimation of induction machines. The electrical machines variable’s estimation represents a major problem in the actual context of modern control approaches, especially of sensorless control strategies. There are considered several implementations of induction machine’s flux estimators by using the Matlab-Simulink environment and there are drawn the...

Separation of saliency information for speed sensorless detection of induction machines flux and rotor position

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to describe an effective method to eliminate or substantially reduce the modulation harmonics due to saturation and inter-modulation for sensorless speed control induction motor drives at low and zero speed with high loads using artificial neural networks (ANN). Design/methodology/approach – In this paper, the separation of the saturation signal, the slott...
